NANA AND PAPA STONEY COME TO BOQUETE

Last week, Nana and Papa Stoney left Panama and flew home to California.  We were able to spend nine wonderful days with them, and it was so fun to not only be with them in Bocas del Toro for Thanksgiving, but to have them visit us here in Boquete.  They were our first visitors here in Panama, and we loved showing them our home, taking them to our local fruit and vegetable stands, going on our favorite hikes, taking them to see Monica and Matt's school, visiting our favorite restaurants, and introducing them to local Panamanian food and culture.  They even got a quick tour of downtown David at the end of their stay.  Best of all, was the opportunity to spend such quality time with them.  Our days together were precious and greatly appreciated, and it was hard to say "goodbye".

Nana and Papa (Karen and Ed Stoney) try tamarillos at Finca Lerida.

Monica and Nana enjoy one of our favorite hikes through Finca Lerida's coffee fields.

After traversing down some very steep jungle slopes, we finally reach the waterfall.  Monica has decided to balance a long stick on her head.

Nana and Papa are incredible hikers and loved going to this waterfall.

It was so fun to have Nana and Papa over to our house in Boquete.  We all enjoyed the wonderful views, bird watching, a spectacular rainbow, and a couple dinners prepared by Greg.  It was a great visit, and we'll treasure these memories forever!
