So much has happened during our first week in Panama! We've unpacked, shopped at several markets and produce stands to see what is available here in Boquete, hit the hiking trails, had a brief visit at Monica and Matt's new school, and took a daylong trip to Playa Barqueta (Playa Las Olas). Greg and Christina got Panamanian phone numbers, so we are officially "locals"! We are certainly enjoying the slower pace of life here and have had lots of relaxation time, while taking in our beautiful surroundings.

So fun to bring home fruits and veggies from a local market! The spiky red fruits in the middle are called mamones. You peal the outer edge, and inside is a delicious sweet fruit that looks like a white grape. |
